The DNA of Democracy (DDNA)

A three channel immersive installation exploring how we'RE shapING Australia’s future. Commissioned by the Museum of Democracy.

Our society is becoming increasingly diverse, but we haven't always seen this diversity reflected in parliament. This three channel video and surround sound installation explores how democracy plays out in the lives of five Australians., who, despite their differences, are equally committed to the principles of fairness, freedom of speech, accountability and justice. From an 11-year old aspiring prime minister to Australia's first Muslim stand-up comedian, from remote Western Australia to the Torres Strait, these are the voices we seldom hear from, in places we rarely see.
